Want to satisfy your shopaholism? Want to lose yourself in the maze of colours and music?
Stands at these fairs provided us with all these things. On top of that, they were all about funding and charity!
EFD has just joined such festivals named Mekong Merchant, SSIS Charity Bazaar and White day at RMIT. There were several other non-governmental organisations working towards a fairer society for disadvantaged people. The events offered us opportunities to spread our name and aims, to raise public awareness about what we should all do to provide better education for children.
By trading T-shirts, postcards, Xmas cards and badges at favourable prices, we received more than just money. People from different ages, careers and nationalities knew, understood, remembered and supported us much better. Also, seeing such a big amount of NGOs at the event, we realised there were still countless people out there needing our attention and help. EFD as well as other organisations are doing our best to compensate and bridge the social gaps.
So, what is so bad about being a shopaholic “on the bazaar”, especially when it is “for a good cause”?”
